It doesn’t matter how clean you keep your home, you may still get those annoying little ants in your home. Here are a few tips to help you get rid of those annoying little ants.
The first tip is to try to figure out what may be attracting the ants inside. A dirty dish in the sink, a cat or dog dish, or even a drip on a jar, can attract ants. So first try to clean these areas first to see if the ants move out on their own.
The next step is to eliminate all the ant scouting trails. So where ever you see the ants, spray these areas with a mixture of one part vinegar to three parts water. You cannot simply wipe down these areas because scouting ants leave behind a pheromone trail so that other ants can find the trail.
The last step is to try to repel the ants from returning, by finding the entry points into your home and spraying these entry points with a natural spray of peppermint or lavender oil and water or by using a product with boric acid. If you do use a product with boric acid make sure to read the label carefully because a lot of these products are harmful to children and pets.
These few tips will help you to eliminate those annoying indoor ants.
